Exercising after giving birth
Every birth is different. That is why every recovery is different too.
During your journey, we will work step by step on a stronger core, a properly functioning pelvic floor and a body that can move with confidence again. We combine strength training, mobility and recovery, so that you not only become fitter, but also feel strong and secure in your daily life once more.
During your programme we will pay attention to, amongst other things,
- Diastasis-safe core and breathing exercises
- Pelvic floor coordination and pressure regulation
- Posture, back and pelvic comfort
- Responsible strength building and conditioning
- Workouts that fit in with your recovery, sleep cycle and daily life
Tailored postpartum training
No two women recover in the same way.
That is why we always start with a comprehensive intake. We discuss your birth, any complaints, and advice from the midwife or pelvic floor physiotherapist. Based on that, we create a personal plan that suits your body, your recovery, and your goals.
That's how you can be sure you're moving safely and can build up with confidence.
Does this sound familiar?
Perhaps you have been feeling less confident about your body since giving birth.
You are having doubts about whether you can start exercising again. Your core still feels weak, your back or pelvis is acting up, or you notice that everyday movement takes more energy than before.
You are not the only one.
With the right guidance, you will learn to trust your body again. In a safe way, you will work on strength, mobility and recovery, so that you not only get back into shape, but above all feel strong, energetic and like yourself again.

FAQ
What does postpartum training involve precisely?
Postpartum training at BEYOND focuses on safely rebuilding your body after childbirth. We work on strength, fitness, mobility, core and pelvic floor, gradually increasing the workload. The training is tailored to your recovery, the way you gave birth and your personal goals.
Who is postpartum training suitable for?
Postpartum training is suitable for women who want to start exercising and training safely again after giving birth. Whether you want to become active again quickly or build it up gradually after a longer recovery period: we look at your personal situation, capacity and goals, and adapt the training accordingly.
What can I expect from my personal trainer during this programme?
Your personal trainer will guide you step by step during your recovery and rebuilding phase. We look at how your body responds to exertion and pay attention to strength, core, pelvic floor, mobility and fitness. You will receive clear explanations, personal guidance and a training approach that fits your recovery and daily life.
Is postpartum training also suitable for beginners or inexperienced exercisers?
Certainly. You don't need any athletic experience to start postpartum training. We begin at a level that suits your current capacity and build up the training gradually. Even if you didn't exercise much before your pregnancy, you can work on strength, fitness, and confidence in movement in a personal and accessible way.
When can I start postnatal training?
The right time to start varies per person and depends on, among other things, your birth, recovery and any symptoms. During an intake we will discuss your situation and determine an appropriate starting point. In the event of medical particulars or symptoms, it is important to first consult your midwife, gynaecologist or other practitioner.
Is postpartum training even possible after a caesarean section?
Even after a caesarean section, postnatal training can be part of your recovery and conditioning. The pace and exercises are tailored to your recovery and capacity. We build up the training gradually, taking the scar area and any symptoms into account. If in doubt, we consult with your treating health professional.
